2020 East Bay Republican Women (EBRWF) Events

Liberty   Freedom   Unity

The East Bay Republican Women Federated, a chapter club of the California Republican Women Federated and the National Republican Women Federated, was chartered in 1953 and will celebrate its 67th birthday in 2020. This club has been providing Republican women with opportunities to learn about candidates for elective office, the important issues and events of our time and to serve our community.

As we embark on the new year, we are adding some modern communications and trying some new meeting formats, while retaining those events and principles that have been the backbone of our organization. Republican women believe that some principles are enduring and do not change with trends or fads. Some of the principles held by our organization include the following:
  • Promote an informed public through education and activity
  • Increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government
  • Influence legislation and maintain a presence in the state capitol
  • Promote a wider knowledge of Republican principles and policies
  • Encourage active citizenship
  • Cooperate with the CA Republican Party and the county ACRP especially for the election of Republican nominees
  • Foster loyalty to Republican candidates in all elections

All members of our local club are automatically members of the CFRW and the NFRW and will receive regular email updatesfrom our statewide and national organizations. Through CFRW we support a full-time legislative analyst who watches and reports on legislation in our state capitol. Whenever possible, we invite our legislative analyst to visit our club to present information and answer questions about recent propositions on our ballot.

Joining EBRWF is not expensive. Our annual dues are $40 for regular members and $25 for associates (students, spouses, and Republican women/men of other affiliations). Membership includes invitations to events with lively and informed speakers, over lunch, tea and coffee, or wine and cheese. We also promote patriotism, books for local schools, scholarships for students, and an annual event in April called Advocacy Day, where members meet legislators in Sacramento (or Los Angeles or another designated city), and also provide support for high school students to join us.

Membership to EBRWF is open to Republican women in Piedmont, Oakland, Alameda, Berkeley, Emeryville, El Cerrito, San Leandro, and all other surrounding communities and counties in the East Bay. Our membership drive begins each January and extends throughout the year. We invite you to join us for socializing, networking and information.
